Overflow Visual Branding (2023 - Current)
The logo was motivated by simplicity and balance similar to a yin-yang symbol, with the two parts creating balance and harmony through the cutout from the ‘o’ finding space within the ‘f’. The two letters also share a resemblance to hot stones used in massage therapy.
I was briefed that the logo type should have a sense of fluidity whilst being structually sound and with an air of importance. I chose to create a custom typeface that was built upon DaVinci typeface, with a clear baseline to ground the logo.
The challenging aspect of the brief was to create a balance of wellness aesthetics partnered with club aesthetics.
Overflow is a Berlin based collective, reimagining the rave landscape through sensory rebalance and wellbeing. Born from the need to create a softer landing, Overflow offers spaces for recovery, reconnection, and sensory indulgence in a culture that often overlooks its own limits.
